Route of the day
The farewell

Mossèn Jordi has been our guardian angel. Did we say this before? Then, it may be because it is true. He offered us his house (including showers), he cooked for us, cared for the ill, provided the contact that offered us an unforgettable evening (11-08-2001, with barbecue included), drove us, opened Santa Maria de Taüll at 11:00 at night and waited there more than one hour until the Magis circle ended, accompanied us during some routes, provided information about the churches, contacted Generalitat in order to get a free visit to them (without having to pay for the entrance), gave all of us a souvenir of Boí.... The experience would have been plainly impossible without his help. God bless him.

It may be for all this or it may be because he is the nicest person. Anyway, In any case, the farewell has been emotional and a bit sad. He took from us a signed postcard and some good memories (we hope). We will never forget him. Silvia and Josepma promised to maintain the contact. They will keep the promise.

Erill-la-Vall

The path to Erill has been easy: just 25 minutes: first down to the river, crossing it and then up to the village: do you remember the first day in which we walked during 10 hours (.... well ... walk and rest ;-) )???

The church of Santa Eulàlia d'Erill-la-Vall has the highest, most slim and elegant bell tower of the valley. From its top we have tried to see the two bell towers of Sant Joan de Boí and Sant Climent de Taüll, which are perfectly aligned with that of Santa Eulàlia d'Erill-la-Vall. However, the Sant Climent bell tower cannot be distinguished. We have been explained that it can be seen in winter, when the trees loses their leafs.

Santa Eulàlia has a wooden sculpture inside (well... a reproduction) which represents the descent of Jesus from the cross.

Barruera

After Erill-la-Vall, we have followed the river down until Barruera, the capital of the Boí Valley. We have had the mass there (in the church of Sant Feliu).
