Route of the day

Today has been an EVEN busier day than yesterday. You may think that this impossible. But it was. Certainly, it was. The list of activities of today has been really long.... As long as exciting!!!

Route Boí to Durro

At the very morning, with the sun barely raised (around 10:30 ;-) ) the group leaves from Boí to Durro by the path GR-11-20.

See GR11-20 Boí-Durro in a bigger map

The views of the Boí Valle from this path are magnificent:

A group picture in the middle of the way:

And our mass in La Nativitat de Durro.

After the mass, a quick lunch and back to Boí....

Boí to Taüll and the visit to Sant Climent

In the coolness of the afternoon (16:00 ;-) ), we leave Boí and follow the steepy path that leads to Taüll, which is probably the only TINY village in the world with two churches that belong to the UNESCO world heritage. Both churches are splendid. First of all, we visit Sant Climent, a charming romanesque church from the XII century, with a splendid Pantocrator which enlightens our spirits and captivates our eyes.

The miracle

In the peak of our exhaustion, after two days of continous and hard route, the miracle occurs: A couple of families which spend their summer time in the Boí Valley offer us their swimming pool, a refreshing shower and invite us to a barbecue: what a terrific, splendid and unforgettable evening.

Thank you very much, from the bottom of our hearts to Mercedes, Joan, Núria, Enrique, Mariona and her husband, the brilliant cook of the barbecue (whose name, unfortunately, we have not retained :-( ). Three of the Nuria's and Enrique's children are also taking part in a route from Barcelona to Madrid to attend the JMJ next week. And thank you very much to mossèn Jordi, the parish priest of the Boí Valley, our guardian angel since our arrival to the valley. God bless them all.

It is 23:15, after the barbecue. This would be a good time to finish our day.... but this would have been too easy....

The Magis Circle

The Magis circle is still pending today... and we are going to have it in the most marvellous place: The romanesque church of Santa Maria de Taüll.

Ok!. It's more than midnight. Time to go to sleep. That's the end. There can't possibly be any other activity to be done yet..... Oh yes!!! There is still another activity!!!!

And...... the concert.....

A group of Pyrenees traditional music (Pont d'Arcalis) is holding a concert in Taüll, next to Santa Maria. So when we finish the Magis Circle we stumble upon them and we join it.

Would you like to listen to some music by Pont d'Arcalis???

An now, what? Is there still something else to be done???

Yes!!!! at 1:00 in the morning we still have to go down from Taüll to Boí with torches!!!! Fortunately, no ankle was injured.

We all had a good sleep!!!
