Route of the day

Silvia's birthday

The first emotional moment of the day has arrived soon: When Silvia has come up in the dining room to have breakfast, she has been greeted by an enthusiastic choir singing the Happy Birthday in the three official languages of the experience:
english, eslovac and spanish. Her face has redden immediately with shy but, fortunately, she has managed to hand out some chocolates to everybody...

Caldes de Boí

After all the exhautions of the last two days, we have had finally a relaxed day. We have been in a mountain spa. We have been surrounded by water all the time we have been there.

We have left Boí to Caldes de Boí after preparing the lunch box and cleaning up everything. It is just a 1:30 hour easy route. During the way, we have seen the entrance to the Aigües Tortes valley (Vall de Sant Nicolau), an electric power plant and a plant to bottle mineral water. Boí Valley mineral water is an extremely good water with healthy properties, which we will discover during the day.

However, once in Caldes de Boí, everybody seems more interested in discovering the swimming pools ;-) We have had mass and lunch there.

Sant Joan de Boí
After lunch, we have gone back to Boí and visit a new romanesque church: the Sant Joan de Boí church, full of intriguing frescos.

The Magis circle

Again, we have had the Magis circle in a most peaceful place: the surroundings of the Sant Joan church.

And a special diner...

Our last diner in Boí has been a bit special: terrific sausages of the finest quality and flavour (i.e., yesterday leftovers ;-) ) and a delicious, sweet, cold peach juice (made out of rotten peaches ;-) ). Not to mention the freshly made rice salad. In the end everybody was about to blast.
